I've been asked a while back to try and come up with an image for this very powerful quote by A. W. Tozen: "When the eyes of the soul looking out meet the eyes of God looking in, heaven had begun right here on this earth." The Pursuit of God.
I played around with a few ideas but this was the only one that really worked for me. I've always found drawing spiritual things quite difficult but feel compelled to keep trying.

150 Years of Ford Baptist Church
The design is finished. I never thought I'd enjoy painting digitally but this one was fun. I think the best thing about doing something digitally, even partially, is that nothing is fragile any more. If something goes wrong, it can be easily drawn again or fixed. It works more like a puzzle where each element can be moved and played with until it starts to fit together.
This little project also gave me the opportunity to feel like a graphic designer and play with text and font.
Anyway, hope you all like it. :)

My dad asked me to design the card for the upcoming event of 150 Years of Ford Baptist Church (in October). I haven't decided yet if the design is finished or not but here is a section of it, a drawing of the church building. I enjoyed working on this, maybe because I love putting in tiny details like the bricks. For all of you who have seen bits of the inside of the building and the people in it, now you know what the outside looks like too.(I cheated and drew from a photo taken by my dad, Marius Mazuru)

Had at wonderful time with David Hooper at the Final Frontier for the May 4th Free Comic Book Festival. We were lucky that the weather held out, we had a bit of a wind resulting in our chasing a drawing, but the sun did show itself thankfully. Here are some of my sketches from the two days, very rough and quick. The last photo is the first in a line of portraits I did throughout the day but sadly the only one I remembered to photograph.
