The 12 Dancing Princesses full image

I would love to one day see this image as a wallpaper runner in a child's bedroom. Until then, I will have to make do with the little booklets I have been making. Let me know what you think.

The Edible Gingerbread Man

As it is a story of the Gingerbread Man after all, I had no choice but to make him. Sorry, but I also caught him and ate him!

It turns out, seeing as I designed this new look to this very old character, that there are no cookie cutters in the right shape for him, I had to make a paper template.

To read the wonderful retelling of his adventure, find your copy on Amazon.

The Gingerbread Man behind the scenes

The Gingerbread Man as it was being produced. Sadly, not all the illustrations were finished when I had taken this picture. Had they all been there, they would not have fit on my bed. I found out that a picture book takes a great deal of room. These illustrations were painted with watercolours. If you would like to find out more or to buy the book, please visit Amazon.

The 12 Dancing Princesses Concertina Books

I have been a busy little bee. Using my very first ever bone folder, I have been doing some delicious bookbinding. Almost a year has passed since I finished the images for the 12 Dancing Princesses and I thought that it was about time I printed these beauties and made little booklets with them. The images were printed on A0 paper and then folded like a concertina book. There is nothing more enjoyable than doing some therapeutic bookbinding and the thrill of seeing your finished product!
I will have to make more now as I only have 2 left.

Who would like to see these booklets in black and white as colouring books?

The Gingerbread Man!

An Exciting day! Some very hard work has finally paid off. I have been working on this little picture book for longer than I care to mention. Now, after many proofs and late nights, it is finally available on Amazon. Click on the link to view:

I Love You THIS Much

There's nothing like making a mess on a Sunday. I might have gotten a tad carried away. So, Who wants one?
Stencils were cut out of note cards (I have no need for all those notecards anyway). I used black watercolour paint on some and then moved onto acrylic paint. I love the texture both of those gave to the cards.

Greeting Cards?

Messing around with some fun card designs. Playing with hand made stencils this time. What do you think? Leave your comments below.

Mother Nature

We have finally been having some glorious sunshine, flowers are definitely blooming and the birds are back. I'd thought I'd celebrate by sharing with you this doodle that just kept on growing. I'm also celebrating that I'm finally being a lot more productive and creative. It has been a cold and painful few months. How do you get out of a creative block? Here I have no more wisdom. I wait.

Lino Cut Christmas Card Part 1

Recently bought a Lino cutting and printing kit and am finally having some real fun with it. Seeing that Christmas is fast approaching, I've just finished cutting out this here baby. I'll let you know what it prints like.
Did I mention that in all my printing days, I've never actually done a Lino cut? Stubborn little thing. Small shapes and lines are difficult to control. Then again, maybe that's the beauty of it.

Princesses 3 & 4 of 12

I hope you are enjoying these drawings. They were quite fun to create. This is part 2 of 6. Mixed media on watercolour paper. My aim was to create something quite rustic in feel and full of texture.
